Video games and Story

There's an idea that's been in my head for a few years now, what if I write a story about people that plays video games?

Video games nowadays are the pop culture of the society. You can see video games stuff at almost everywhere.

Although there's already shows that's similar to my idea had been made, such as the anime Accel World and Sword Art Online. Both of them is about a virtual reality world game that's set in the future. But what I have in mind is something more modern, something closer to our society and period of time.
Can a story that's about a person playing video games as good and intense as a story that's about a person racing cars? The one question I've asked myself countless time and have yet to find out the answer.

Water-themed

I've always liked water-themed arts and ideas. It's beautiful and graceful! And the creativity of the people that did them is fascinating!

Everytime I look at them I think to myself, I want to make a story based on a character that has something to do with water. And thus the birth of my Original Character.

This original character of mine, I call her Undine for now. Her character is still underdeveloped. I've thought of many roles and stories for her, such as the spirit of the sea, or maybe the goddess of the lake, but none of these feels good enough for me.

Her body is made mostly out of water, which is inspired by this character on the left from the manga M.A.R. She's a water creature who fight for her master in the manga.

 In order grab a hold of what kind of character she really is, I did a lot of drawings and sketches of Undine. Hopefully one day she will be completed and I'll be able to give her a great story for her to live in!
